Personalize your session!

As your photographer, I want to capture you best! If you play a sport, bring your jersey, game ball, or any other medals you would like to capture. Other items to feature could be pom poms, varsity jacket, instruments, pets, fishing gear, your car or dirt bike etc. Anything that you love! Bring all of the options!!

Looking to wear a cap and gown?

a lot of my clients have worried about scheduling their session too early because they won't receive their cap and gown until closer to their graduation date. That's ok! Amazon has a lot of color options online for a decent price and it's always worth it if you want to capture that!

Bring a friend!

Some of my best sessions have been when a senior brings their bff or even bf/gf along! i welcome anyone, if that person can help make you feel relaxed, help with outfit changes or even crack a joke or two to keep you laughing and being your best self! I have also done double senior sessions together and it allows for both single portraits and also those photos together in their cap and gown. A big part of your senior year are your friends.. I'm always up for it!!

Keep your clothing visually simple.

I would steer clear from wearing anything with a logo, crazy print, words, stripes or pictures. We want the focus to be on your face rather than a big nike symbol. Solid colors or mellow patterns look great and aren't too distracting. Darker colors are always better than bright/neon. Tan is better than white and grey is better than black. A lot to think about I know, lol but it's always worth it to mention. :) Layers are always great for a lot more options!

Guys hair cuts.

If you want to get a hair cut before the session, make sure to do it at least a week in advance. Give your new hair some time to relax a bit and look a bit more like you do on the day to day.

Do you wear glasses?

the glare from your frames can be a big take away from your photos. I would recommend investing in a pair with anti glare. You could even wear a pair without lenses at all. It sounds silly but it would definitely make a huge difference if you want to try it out.

Speak up!

Communication is key! If you don't like a certain pose or your hair a certain way, say so! You should be 100% satisfied with your photos and I will never know what's on your mind. Help me to help you to get the most out of your session. :)
