Your Wedding Day
It's one of the most important days of your life. Whether it's intimate, emotional, wild or spontaneous, I'm down for it all! Planning a wedding can be a lot but when it comes to your photographer you shouldn't have to worry!
I use everything canon related. For weddings I always use 2 cameras . The new mirrorless r5 & r6 . Both cameras dual slot record (which means when I snap a photo, it records to 2 cards at the same time) so you will never loose your photos if one card happens to fail! That usually gives everyone peace of mind.
I also back everything up to a hard drive and keep those cards on standby until your photos are delivered. 2 back ups because it’s sooo important !
Before your wedding day I would send a questionnaire and write up a timeline so everything goes as smoothly as possible. It’s also great for the whole wedding party to have a copy too. I'm also super chill and can handle just about anything! If you need help with your dress, boutonnières, need a moment to breath or even cry out those happy tears.. I'll be your person! I'll be there every step of the way.
When can we expect our photos after the wedding date?
About 4-8 weeks after the Wedding .
Editing through thousands of photos takes time.. BUT I know waiting is the hardest part, so I promise to give you a sneak peak with full print release until the rest of your photos are delivered!
Do we need a second shooter?
I will always answer this question with yes!! My biggest fear has always been whether or not I become ill or injured the day of a wedding. It hasn't happened yet! (fingers crossed)
Having a second shooter insures that someone will show up to the most important day of your life.
a second shooter also insures that we won't miss a thing. They are there when i can't be in 2 places at once! Typically we will split up and take formal photos of the bride with her bridesmaids / Groom with his groomsmen before the ceremony starts. (especially if you decide against a First Look).
This cuts the waiting time for your guests when waiting for your reception to start! (That also leaves plenty of time to photograph those important family members + full wedding party).
having an extra photographer means more angles and more photos which is also a plus!
What is a first look?
a first look is when you get the chance to see your person before you say i do!! Just you + your partner. (plus your photographer's or videographer's to capture the moment). You're all dressed up and beautiful.. The moment could be fun/emotional/intimate and everything in between.
You could use this special opportunity to give gifts or even read your vows. (which could also be captured by your videographer if you have one).
I am definitely a sucker for a first look but it's not at all required if you have other plans in mind!!
Do you shoot destination weddings?
Of course! I love to travel and i'm down for just about anything when it comes to weddings!! The investment is the same, just add in travel expenses (gas, lodging, etc.) as necessary.
